Keurig K-Duo Brewer Maintenance Kit for 3 Month Care
$ 17.09
I followed the directions on the descaling solution for my less than 3 month old Keurig K Supreme Plus. It did not fix the problem. I must have brewed over 20 cups as the instructions said it may take 12 or more 13 ounce brewing without a pod. I finally YouTubed it and a gentleman figured out how to actually change “Descale” notification to “Descaling!” He used a half vinegar and half water solution rather than this expensive purchase I just made to be wasted by brewing through this idiotic process as described in the instructions instead of actually descaling!!!! PRESS 12oz and 8oz at the same time until the K light in the center flashes. It takes about 6 times to filter the solution through before it says add water again and screen goes blank. Turn power back on and flashing descale light goes off. So I basically ran this expensive solution I purchased, following the directions on the bottle, only to find out it never descaled AND wasted about 12 Bottled waters in the process of refilling the reservoir. I owned two of the first models sold at Costco and got tired of returning it and descaling with vinegar as their customer service would advise in the past. To finally, many years later, purchasing the latest model at Christmas with advanced technology (more holes to puncture the pods that help prevent this type issue). Product instructions say not to use vinegar, but to use this expensive Keurig solution with INADEQUATE or should I say valuable MISSING information on the solution bottle! Unbelievable! I’ve only used bottled water for this new because of all the problems in the past with my old machines. Save your money, YouTube the video with the man with the British accent and use a vinegar/water mix. Picture of YouTube video attached that gave me the correct instructions!
